Mike Miller Bio

Born in Greensboro, NC, Mike Miller spent 8 years in Minnesota before returning to the south after high school where he attended Catawba College, in Salisbury, NC.

Early in his radio career, Miller worked at radio stations in Woodruff, and Greenwood, SC. In 1979, he moved to Savannah, GA where he would go on to become the morning show host at WAEV97-fm.   There he created "Mike Miller's Morning Madness Show" that would eventually become one of the top rated shows in the market.  It was a wild and crazy morning radio show full of comedy bits, parody songs, phone calls from listeners, and featured 12-15 different zany characters voiced by Miller himself. During that time, the station achieved the GAB Radio Station of the Year award.  Mike was also part of a group that created the Miss St. Patricks Day beauty pageant, an event he would serve as emcee for over the next10 years.

In 1994, Miller became the morning show host at KIX96-WJCL in Savannah. The "Mike and Christy" morning show became the number one morning show in the market and remained one of the top morning shows for several years.

In the summer of 2004 Miller took over as morning show host at country radio station WGZR 1069-fm in Savannah. He remained there as a morning show host for the next several years.

In January of 2012, Miller returned to NASHFM 96.5.  Today he serves as program director for news talk station WBMQ-AM, and can also be heard weekday mornings from 7-10am as a part of the NASHFM 96.5 “Hometown Morning Show”, as well as hosting a daily midday show on NASHFM 96.5 from 10am-2pm.
